A close checking game tonight was a winner for the home team at the Eddie Bush Arena after 8 rounds of shootout. Both teams traded goals in the first and third periods to send the game to overtime.Rookie Marcus Yolevskiopened the scoring for North York at 1:07 of the 1st from Dylan Stone and Connor Tresham.The Blues tied it up late in the first and took the lead at 1:58 of the 3rd. Mike Mazzulla disappointed the home crowd scoring at 14:33 of the final frame from Zach Pilote to tie it up. Nothing was settled in the overtime leading to the extended shootout where Collingwood was able to score on their eighth attempt. Referee Ed Black called 24 penalties. Rangers out shot Collingwood 37-24. Next action is at home Sunday at 3 against the highly ranked Lindsay Muskies.
