2024-2025 Season… Complete

After 179 days, 56 games and countless hours of work the 2024-2025 OJHL season has come to a close for your North York Rangers.

The results weren’t what we were looking for, as we ended the year winning just 5 games and closed out the season on a lengthy 19 game losing streak. But this was a year of growth for our organization both on and off the ice.

This years team had just eight full time players from the 2023-2024 group and had turnover with our experienced players. But the youngsters had their opportunities to shine.

Matthew Babiy, Luca Spano and Jacob Owsicki were all rookies this past season yet finished second, fourth, and sixth respectively in points on the season for the Rangers. Spano and Owsicki played majority of this season as 17-year-olds and as some of the younger players in the league they started to find their rhythm more and more as the season went on.

We graduated multiple players this season and would like to thank all of them for their hard work and dedication to the organization.

First our Captain. Cian Noble made his OJHL debut back in the 2021-2022 season playing 162 career OJHL games, 131 with the North York Rangers organization. He finished his career with 43 points but more impressively just 48 penalty minutes over his 4 year career.

Next up one of our Assistant Captains, Alexey Kulikov. The forward played 90 games in the OJHL, all but 13 coming with the North York Rangers. With stops in the QMJHL and OHL level over the past few years, Alexey made his impact across the country. Finishing his OJHL career with 15 goals and 36 points.

Our third and final graduate was the man between the pipes Dylan Dewachter. Dylan joined the team this past season after spending the last two years in the GOJHL, making 23 appearances with the Rangers. He was the goalie of record for 40% of our victories this season.

Thank you all for your leadership and hard work. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for all three of you!

Last but certainly not least we want to thank our fans. We heard you all season long in the stands at the Herb cheering your hearts out supporting our players and coaches. We saw you on social media liking our posts and supporting anyway you could and we want to say that none of it goes unnoticed. We are going to do what we can to make sure we give everything we have in 2025-2026 and bring some incredible moments to the Herb for everyone next season.
