3 point games for Beaumont and Desjardins lead Rangers to 6-2 win

David Beaumont and Eric Desjardins each contributed 3 points in a 6-2 win over the Seguin Bruins at Carnegie Arena. The Bruins had defeated North York up north on December 6, 4-1. The teams battled evenly for more than half the game with the game tied 1-1 after one period and 2-2 deep into the second. Peter Rodrigues opened the scoring for North York in the first from Joe Serpe and Zach Pilote. Anthony Bergin gave the Rangers the lead at 3:50 of the second from Andrew Amodeo and Brendan Wise before the Bruins tied it up on a power play at 9:42. Desjardins scored on a power play from Bergin and Zach Smith at 17:24 and Serpe made it 4-2 from Beaumont and Jason Kelly  at 18:49.North York broke it open with Smith ‘s goal from Dejardins and Beaumont at the 20 second mark of the 3rd. Amodeo completed the scoring on a power play from Desjardins and Beaumont at 17:41.Referees Josh Roberts and Ryan Carroll called 15 penalties with the Rangers scoring on 3 of 5 power plays. North York has 3 games before the holiday break as they travel to Orangeville next Friday at 7:30, visit Dixie Beehives Saturday at 7:30, and finish up at home Sunday at 3 against the same Beehives.
