The North York Rangers are pleased to announce that Brandon Yeamans has committed to York University. The forward will play for the Lions hockey team this upcoming fall in U SPORTS.

The 20-year-old was a prolific scorer this past season registering 31 goals for 70 points, which sat fifth and third respectfully in the league during his time with the Rangers and Mississauga Chargers. The dominant campaign led him to being named an OJHL first team all-star. North York traded forward Matteo Pecchia for the former Chargers captain’s services in late December. Yeamans recorded 11 goals for 24 points in 17 regular season games after the move. He didn’t miss a beat in his first Junior A playoff appearance posting 13 points in 16 games

The Maple, Ont., native has been a part of hockey in Mississauga for the last six years at various levels. After developing with the Reps in GTMMHL and GTHL he joined the Chargers. The 5’9 winger showed how dominant he can be posting 33 points in 49 games. He also dressed in 11 games for the Mississauga Steelheads of the OHL.

Yeamans got off to a red hot start in his final campaign recording 17 points in eight games. The OJHL recognized the impressive performance awarding him the OJHL Kewl South-East player of the month in October.

This marks the ninth player on the Rangers roster that has officially committed to the NCAA or U SPORTS.
