Scott Maguire scored his first of the playoffs but it was not enough as the Rangers fell 4-1 in Game 2 to the St. Michael’s Buzzers on Friday.

The North York assistant captain stepped to his right and shot a wrister that handcuffed St. Mike’s goaltender Adrian Ignagni and fell in behind him.

Jake Evans scored the eventual game-winner for the Buzzers at 8:09 of a penalty-filled second period that involved a line brawl and a lengthy delay to sort it out.

The series moves back to St. Mike’s Arena on Saturday afternoon for Game 3, with the conference final, best-of-seven tied at one game apiece.
