John Carpino notched his fourth four-point outing of the season and extended his point-scoring streak to nine games as the North York Rangers demolished the Burlington Cougars 8-1 on Saturday.
Liam Kerins also added a goal and two assists while Adam Valadao had three helpers as the Rangers equaled their biggest offensive output, joining a home win vs. Oakville on Nov. 17 and at the governor’s showcase against the Orangeville Flyers.
Three of North York’s goals were shorthanded, more than doubling its previous season total of two, while another three were on the power play, giving the team it’s highest total of special teams goals in a game this season.
Tye Campbell’s two-point night was his second multi-point outing as a member of the Rangers while Corey Kalk had his second two-goal game of the campaign.
North York has little time to enjoy the victory as it takes on the East Division leading Cobourg Cougars on Sunday afternoon.
