Claude Desjardin wins the 2019-20 Volunteer of the Year Award

Claude Desjardin has been in and around hockey as a player, coach, manager and volunteer for more than 25 years.

He started playing Minor and Junior hockey in the Ottawa area and began coaching for the Thornhill Rebels in the last 1980s.

He worked as a Team Manager for Goulding Park for three years in the A-Level and has also served as the General Manager of the club for three years from House League to A and AA.

Currently, for Goulding Park, Claude is in his 15th year as a Board of Director member. He is also an Ice Scheduler for 12 teams and for 30+ teams in House League. This is a role he has continued for over a decade.

He is also currently a long-serving member of North York Rangers Triple-A in a variety of roles where his experience, influence, and work have garnered great impact. He is in his 14th year on the Board of Directors, in his seventh year as President, and 11 years as General Manager.

Claude is also in his 15th year as a GTHL AAA Committee Member and is also on the Board of Governors for the OJHL.

It is without a doubt that Claude Desjardin has dedicated at great lengths, his time and commitment to the sport of hockey.
