Corey Kalk had his third straight multi-point game but it wasn’t enough to prevent the North York Rangers from falling 8-3 on Sunday to the Toronto Patriots.

Anthony Latina opened the scoring for the Rangers with a quick snap shot at 6:51 of the first period and then Jeremy Szabo cashed in on a feed back door from Kalk at 8:12 to make it 2-0.

After the Patriots tied it, Liam Kerins gave North York a 3-2 lead on one of his patented one-timers from the half-wall on the power play, but then six unanswered goals from Toronto sealed the deal.

The loss drops North York’s record to 3-0-1-4 after eight games.

The Rangers are back in action Sunday afternoon when they take on the Milton IceHawks at the Herb, puck drops at 3:00 p.m.
