Rangers forward Liam Kerins and goaltender Jason Pucciarelli have been named the first and second stars, respectively, in the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s South Division for the past week.
Kerins, 19, notched multi-point games in each of the last four contests, scoring three goals and adding six helpers over that span.
The Caledon native currently sits second in team scoring with 47 points in 34 games and leads the club in assists with 29.
Pucciarelli, 20, stopped 93 of 103 shots while backstopping the Rangers to five out of a possible six points in the last three games.
A native of Newmarket, he has only one regulation loss in his last nine starts for a record of 6-2-1 over that span.
North York fell to Pickering Dec. 11 4-3 in a shootout before defeating St. Mike’s 5-4 on Friday and Georgetown 4-3 on Sunday.
