Ture Linden notched five points and Jett Alexander made 27 stops as the North York Rangers rolled over the Milton Icehawks 9-2 Sunday afternoon.

The start was Alexander’s first of the year for the Rangers this season, as he, along with forward Ross Krieger, were acquired by the club earlier in the day from the Georgetown Raiders.

Krieger, 18, added a goal and two points of his own, while minor midget call-up Nicholas Robertson shone with three helpers of his own.

Rookie forward Willy Hunter chipped in with his first two career OJHL goals, while Louis Kereakou, James Fletcher, and Matt Galli all also found the back of the net.

Brad Yowart and Brandon Sabatini had the goals for the Icehawks, with goaltenders Jakob Devincentis and Will Barber splitting North York’s 38 shots.

Rangers captain Kyle Clarke and assistant captain Kegan Blasby only played the first periods each, as they were headed to the Eastern Canada Cup All-Star Challenge set to begin Monday morning in Cornwall, ONT.

North York is next in action Friday night when it travels to Oakville to battle the division-rival Blades; puck drops at 7:30 p.m.
