North York downs Mississauga, 3-1

Nick Zanette registered two points to lead the North York Rangers to a 3-1 victory over the Mississauga Chargers.

Mississauga was unable to stop North York from sending pucks towards the net, and the Rangers eventually piled up 32 shots on goal.

North York also had goals scored by Joshua Dame and Louis Kereakou, who scored one goal each. More assists for North York came via Kyle Clarke, Fedor Rudakov, Adam Giacomin, and Christian Mitri, who contributed one each.

The Chargers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow North York to score on any of its five power plays.

Mississauga was led by Aidan Parker, who scored the team’s only goal. Parker scored 1:34 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Mississauga. Brandon Yeamans provided the assist.

Gianluca Baggetta recorded 24 saves for the Rangers. North York incurred 26 minutes in penalty time with three minors. Andrew Cipollone made 29 saves for the Chargers on 32 shots. Mississauga incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
