North York’s Morgan deadly on offense in 5-2 win against Buffalo

After the loss made the series score 1-3 in the best of seven series, Buffalo faces elimination next time out.

Jr. Sabres fell victim to a deadly North York power play, which ripped Jr. Sabres for four goals

In a losing effort, Buffalo were sparked by Zach Evancho, who grabbed two goals. Evancho scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 12:32 into the second period to make the score 1-1 . Tim Nicksic claimed the first assist on the goal, and David Baskerville got the second. Evancho’s next tally on the power play made the score 4-2 North York in the third period. The goal was assisted by Christian DiFelice and Joshua Biasillo.

Rangers kept Jr. Sabres’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Brian Kowalski made 30 saves on 35 shots.

More assists for North York came via Tyler Currie, who had two and Luke Hincenbergs and Nick Campoli, who contributed one apiece.

Buffalo were held back by their power play unit, which tallied two goals on ten chances.Jr. Sabres kept Rangers’s goalie busy throughout the game, and Gianluca Baggetta made 32 saves on 34 shots.

In addition, Buffalo received assists from DiFelice, Baskerville, Biasillo, and Nicksic, who each chipped in one.

North York incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. Buffalo incurred 38 minutes in penalty time with nine minors.
