The North York Rangers have signed free agent defenceman Fyodor Rudakov, the club announced Thursday,
Rudakov, 17, spent last season with the Toronto Junior Canadiens midgets, where he was a teammate of current North York forward Josh Dame.
A native of Moscow, Russia, he notched 20 points in 42 games in the Greater Toronto Hockey League for the Jr. Canadiens Midgets.
He was drafted in the 14th round of the Ontario Hockey League draft by the Saginaw Spirit out of the Toronto Jr. Canadiens minor midgets (1998s).
Rudakov notched seven points in seven games in the 2014 OHL Cup, where his club lost in the final to the Toronto Marlies.
