North York Rangers affiliated player Kyle Clarke has been named Rookie of the Week on the In The O Radio’s South Division Week in Review blog.
Clarke, 16, is a top-line player on the Toronto Red Wings AAA Midgets and has three points in three games as a call-up for the Rangers’ Junior A squad.
The Mississauga native notched two assists in North York’s 5-1 victory over Mississauga on Saturday night, and then added another helper in its 8-2 win vs. Orangeville on Sunday afternoon.
A speedy five-foot-eight, 180-pound winger, Clarke has filled in well as an energy player on both scoring and checking units and looks completely undaunted by playing against players up to five years older than him.
