John Carpino became the first 40-goal scorer for North York as a member of the OJHL, and then added an assist and another goal to help the Rangers cruise to a big 5-1 victory in Burlington.

Jason Pucciarelli made 27 saves in the North York net for his 11th victory of the season while Brock Novak stopped 33 pucks in the defeat.

Taylor Pryce added a goal and an assist for his 11th multi-point game of the season and Franco Loparco has five goals in the last three games as he added a marker of his own.

Corey Kalk had the other tally for the Rangers who now re-take sole possession of first place in the South Division.

North York is back in action in the arguably the biggest game of the season on Sunday afternoon as they host the St. Michael’s Buzzers, the team that is trailing them by two points in the standings with a game in hand on the Rangers.

Tomorrow is the final home game of the regular season and North York’s second-to-last before the playoffs. A victory tomorrow guarantees them home-ice advantage in the first round of the post-season.
