Matthew Whittaker and Michael Florindo had their first career four-point games, and their line including Patrick Simmonds combined for 11 points as the Rangers downed Burlington 7-5 on Saturday.
North York was missing five players that were representing the South Division at the Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge tournament, and used six midget call-ups for the victory.
One of those call-ups, Phillip Chadder, had his first career point with an assist in the third period.
Taylor Pryce added his third two-goal game of the season, including the game-winner in the third period.
Adam Valadao scored in his return from injury, having not played since the first day of December, and is now the eighth Ranger to reach double digits in goals on the season.
Ryan Kinsella also had a goal.
The victory puts North York alone in second place in the South Divison, and will look to finish off the 2012 calendar year on Sunday afternoon on a high note. They have won eight of the last nine games stretching back to the beginning of the month.
