Corey Kalk extended his point-scoring streak to eight games but it was not enough as the North York Rangers fell 6-2 on Wednesday night to the Whitby Fury.

John Carpino and Zach Fung both found the back of the net as the Rangers attempted to mount a third period comeback with two goals in a minute and four seconds, but came up short as the Fury added a late tally to pad the scoreline.

Liam Kerins, Gabriel Valenzuela and Brody Power also added assists as North York’s record fell to 4-0-1-5 on the year.

The Rangers will attempt to get back on track this weekend, with a game on Saturday night at the Toronto Junior Canadiens followed by a tilt with the Stouffville Spirit Sunday afternoon at the Herb.
