Taylor Pryce scored on a magnificent individual effort at 18:31 of the first period but it was not enough as the Rangers fell 2-1 in Game 5 at the First Niagara Centre in Buffalo.

His Wednesday evening marker was his sixth of the playoffs.

Jason Pucciarelli was fantastic once again; making 41 of 43 saves in the North York goal while Sabres goaltender Parker Gahagen was equally strong stopping 37 of 38.

The Rangers will get a second chance to finish off Buffalo on Friday night at the Herb in Game 6, as coach John Dean’s team holds a 3-2 advantage in the series.

Game time is 7:00 pm.
