North York jumped out to 5-0 lead 15:46 into the first period, and cruised the rest of the way pounding the Toronto Jr. Canadians 8-2 at Chesswood Arena on Saturday.
The line of Chris Aitcheson, Ryan Kinsella, and Taylor Pryce dominated proceedings especially, putting up four goals and six points combined. Kinsella was making his North York debut after being acquired from Georgetown yesterday.
Brody Power, Zach Fung, and Kinsella, all scored their first ever goals as Rangers.
It was a chippy, penalty-filled affair that saw the two teams combine for 19 power plays and 46 minutes of penalties.
Avery Allen saved 19 of 21 shots in the North York net, while Denny Dubblestyne and Nathan Colitto split duties in the Jr. Canadians goal and faced 35 shots.
The Rangers start a stretch of four games in five nights on Wednesday when they host the Oakville Blades at the Herb Carnegie Arena with the puck drop at 8:30.
