John Carpino notched his second straight two-goal game but it was not enough as the North York Rangers fell 4-3 in Game 4 to the St. Michael’s Buzzers.

North York trailed 3-0 with nine minutes left in the second period, but could not complete the rally despite completely dominating the final frame.

The Rangers held the Buzzers without a power play goal for the first time in the series while Jason Pucciarelli was steady and made 31 saves in defeat.

Adam Valadao had the other goal.

Joseph Berton and CJ Shugart had the two tallies for the hosts, who staved off a four-game sweep on the night.

George Argiropoulos made 33 saves for his first victory of the post-season.

Carpino leads the Rangers in playoff scoring with seven points in the four contests, followed by Valadao and Liam Kerins with four points each.

The two teams will reconvene on Friday night for Game 5 at the Herb Carnegie Centennial Arena with North York ahead 3-1 in the series.
