Rangers upset highly ranked Muskies

After a disappointing loss in Collingwood Friday , the Rangers returned home this afternoon to take on the 1st place ( Ruddock Division ) Lindsay Muskies. The Muskies are also one of the top ranked teams Tier 2 teams in Canada. The pumped up Rangers got off to a quick start scoring two first period goals .Jason Kelly from Mike Mazzulla and Joe Serpe at the 16:00 minute mark and Connor Tresham on a power play from Anthony Bergin at 16:55 gave  North York a 2-0 lead. Tresham added a short handed goal from Brendan Wise and Dylan Stone at 6:09 and Kelly’s 2nd goal from Serpe and Bergin at 16:20 had the Rangers comfortably out in front in the second. Lindsay added a late 2nd period marker and a 3rd period goal to make it 4-2. Referees Ed Munroe and Joshua Roberts called 22 penalties with only North York scoring on a power play. Rangers are back in the Ruddock Division next Saturday in Peterborough.
