The North York Rangers battled back twice but came up just short in Game 3, falling 5-4 in overtime to the Buffalo Jr. Sabres.

With the loss, the series now sits at 2-1 in favour of the Rangers.

Adam Valadao, Corey Kalk, Zach Fung and Chris Aitcheson all found the back of the net while Taylor Pryce was the only North York player with a multi-point evening with his two helpers.

The Junior Sabres came out hard and outshot the Rangers 38-33 on the contest and the back-and-forth affair could have gone either way.

After two games in two nights, both sides will now have until Tuesday night to rest and make adjustments when Game 4 will be held at the Herb.
