Taylor Pryce scored his team-leading sixth goal of the season, but it was not enough as the Rangers lost their first extra-time game of the year 2-1 in a shootout at Mississauga on Saturday.

Avery Allen was superb again for North York in net as the Vaughan-native stopped 38 of 39 shots,

Chargers veteran Paul Ramieri opened the scoring on the power play 3:48 into the second, but Pryce replied from Chris Aitcheson and Michael Giacometti under 10 minutes later.

Pryce has six goals in seven games so far this season after scoring seven over 45 games for Pickering in 2011-12.

Corey Kalk was the only Ranger to score in the shootout while Ramieri and Lucas Venuto responded to give Mississauga the victory.
