The Couchiching Terriers proved that they are going to be a force in the Phillips Division as they defeated the Rangers 6-2 this afternoon at the Carnegie Arena. The Terriers second straight win over North York moved them ahead of the Rangers into 4th place in the standings. North York had a solid first period playing evenly with Couchiching, however, the Terriers pulled away in the second scoring twice and added 3 more in the 3rd before Brendan Wise, who had 4 points on the weekend, broke the shut out for Kyle Cantion at 17:03 of the 3rd but the Terriers scored again just 18 seconds before Jason Kelly closed out the scoring at 19:03.Referees Mike Neill and Shawn Garrett called 28 penalties, 18 to Couchiching.. Rangers are back up north next week when they travel to Collingwood Friday night.
