Three 2nd period goals locks up win for North York

The Rangers poured in 3 second period goals to break open a close game at the Iroquois Park Arena tonight in Whitby. Anthony Bergin had tied things up for North York on a power play goal from Brendan Wise and Andrew Amodeo at 17:40 of the first. David Beaumont gave the Rangers the lead at 3:24 from Chris Dixon. Wise made it 3-1 from Zach Pilote at 4:51.Former Ranger Mike Shirley closed the gap to 3-2 before Peter Rodrigues made it 4-2 on a short handed effort from Anthony Bergin and Jesse Hebscher. Amodeo ended the scoring at the 1:00 mark of the 3rd from Martin Greenaway to make the final 5-2. Referees Darryl Hancock and Mike Jank called only 10 minor penalties.
