Tresham’s 2 goals lead Rangers to win over Upper Canada

Rangers’ leading scorer,Connor Tresham scored 2 goals including the winner in the Rangers 5-4 win over Upper Canada at the Carnegie Arena this afternoon. North York took a 2-1 first period lead on goals by Nunziato Fattore and Mike Hollander,both assisted by Chris Dixon. Tresham made it 3-1 at 5:40 of the 2nd on a power play from Brendan Wise before the improved Upper Canada Club tied it up before the mid way point of the period.Peter Rodrigues restored the lead just over a minute later from Jesse Hebscher and Tresham scored the eventual winner at 17:20 of the second. Upper Canada had the only goal of the 3rd to make the final 5-4. Referees Nick Mintopoulos and Dave Gauthier called 19 penalties with the Rangers scoring on 2 their 5 power plays. Rangers have a busy week with 3 games in 4 nighs later in the week.Thursday they travel to Whitby, go north to Aurora on Friday and return home Sunday to play the Huntsville Otters.
