The Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) announced today that Cole O’Hara of the North York Rangers has been named the Warrior South-East Conference Player-of-the-Month for November after he tallied 18 points during 10 games. The second-year forward’s seven goals included two on the power play, one while shorthanded and a game-winner.

The Richmond Hill resident is tied for fifth in the OJHL points race with 41 (11assists/30 goals) in 29 games.

O’Hara, 17, is playing for Team Canada East at the World Jr. A Challenge in northern B.C. this week.

O’Hara committed to UMass last February following a 42-point rookie season with the Rangers. He was named to the OJHL All Prospects second team last spring. O’Hara played minor midget with the 2018 OHL Cup champion Toronto Jr. Canadiens.

Cameron Gaylor of the Trenton Golden Hawks was runner-up to O’Hara as the South-East Conference Player-of-the-Month. The Toronto native had five goals and 10 assists in eight games. The 20-year-old is in his second season in Trenton after playing for Mississauga of the Ontario Hockey League during 2017-18.
