Adam Valadao and John Carpino extended their point-scoring streaks to four games, but it was not enough to prevent the North York Rangers from falling 3-1 to the Oakville Blades Friday night.

Liam Kerins scored his fourth goal in three games, following up on his hat trick on Sunday vs. the Kingston Voyageurs and has seven goals and 15 points in his last 10 games stretching back to Oct. 21.

Jason Pucciarelli made 29 saves while the Rangers outshot the Blades 35-32.

Dalton Bew led the way for Oakville with a goal and an assist, including the game-winner at 19:50 of the first period.

North York will get its chance at revenge as it takes on the Blades on Sunday night at a special start time of 8 p.m. at the Herb Carnegie Centennial Arena.
