It did not take long for the Beehives to take full control of the game on Sunday against North York as Dixie capitalized on their first opportunity just 58 seconds into the game to get the Beehives off to a great start.  North York had numerous chances on the power play to tie the game up in the first period but Dixie’s goaltender managed to keep everything out of the net until late in the first period when North York’s Custoreri scored with two minutes left to tie it up at 1-1. Kim-Swallow and Morgan assisted on the play.  The Beehives quickly responded late in the period to give them the go ahead goal leading into the second.

North York came out a little shaky in the second period letting in 2 quick goals within the first two minutes of the period. Rangers goalie Demelo was pulled by Coach Pat Arbour and sent in was call up Shibuya who ended up only facing 5 shots in the 37 minutes he played.  The only highlights for the Rangers was Brendan Wise tallying two goals in the second to give him a team leading 6 goals and 9 points on the year.

The Rangers outshot the Beehives 34-15, giving up only 1 shot in the third. This loss broke the Rangers season high winning streak at 3 games.

Come check out the Rangers as they host Ajax Wednesday October 7,  7:30 pm at North York Centennial Arena.
