The North York Rangers picked up their first regulation win of the season with a score of 2-1 over the Orangeville Crushers. In a very fast paced game, Rangers goalie Ryan Demelo managed to stop a staggering 34 of 35 shots.
North York’s #7 Custoreri opened up the scoring in the second period at 12:18 to give the Rangers the lead. Captain Brendan Wise scored a shorthanded goal on a pass from defensive teammate Joe Jackson to give the Rangers a much need insurance policy, which would eventually secure them their first regulation win of the season.
Goalie Ryan Demelo deservingly captured the first star of the game, while teammates Custoreri and Wise saw the second and third.
North York takes on Upper Canada 7:30 Wednesday night at North York Centennial Arena.
