Shoot out loss to Cougars a close battle

In their only game of the season with Burlington the Rangers and Cougars battled for 3 periods, overtime, and 4 rounds of shoot out in a 2-1 win for the home team. Burlington opened the scoring only 12 seconds into the game and were not able to beat Ed Davey for almost 65 minutes. Brendan Wise tied it up on a power play, unassisted at 8:55 of the 3rd. Joe Serpe put the Rangers into the lead on the first shot of the shoot out but North York was shut out on the next 3 shooters while the Cougars counted two to take the win. Referees Walt Araujo and Glen McBryde called 13 penalties.Both teams had 33 shots on goal. Rangers are home Sunday against the Seguin Bruins.
