It seemed like only a matter of time that the players with the skillset of the Rangers’ forward line of Chris Aitcheson, Liam Kerins and Franco Loparco would break out.

Safe to say that it happened on Sunday afternoon as the unit combined for a whopping 14 points en route to an 11-0 North York romp of the Hamilton Red Wings.

After the game, Rangers’ goaltender Jacob Keogh was not surprised with the explosion from the group.

“I think it is an extremely effective line,” he said.

“They are three of the fastest skaters on the team, they can all play physically and at the same time can all make unbelievable plays.

“It’s one of the most effective offensive lines in the league.”

Loparco and Aitcheson led the way offensively for North York with six points each, while both the former and Kerins notched hat tricks.

It was the first time Kerins scored three times in one junior game.

Zach Fung, Corey Kalk and John Carpino also had multi-point games as the Rangers slipped back into a share of first place in the South Division with the St. Michael’s Buzzers.

North York will now head to Burlington next Saturday before returning home on Sunday afternoon in what is shaping up to be a massive tilt against the Buzzers at the Herb.
