Five second period goals were too much for the Rangers to overcome as they lost a tough 8-5 decision tonight in Peterborough.Anthony Bergin gave the Rangers the lead on an unassisted shorthanded goal at 9:16 of the first.The Stars tied it up less then a minute later and took a 2-1 lead into the second where they reeled off 4 goals in the first eight and a half minutes to take a 6-1 lead. North york battled back with 3 goals before the end of the period with Jason Kelly, Zach Pilote and new comer Andrew Amodeo making the score 7-4 at the end of two. Each team added a goal in the 3rd. Joe Serpe scored on a power play at 15:21 from Pilote and Peter Rodrigues but it was too little too late in an 8-5 loss. Referee Matt Black called 26 penalties with the teams combining for 5 power play goals. Rangers return home tomorrow afternoon for a game with the Villanova Knights.
