The Rangers seized a share of second place in the South Division on Sunday afternoon with an otherwise disappointing 4-3 overtime defeat at the hands of the Mississauga Chargers.
John Carpino extended his streak of five games in a row with at least one goal, but let Corey Kalk catch up with him in the team scoring lead as both sit at 52 points.
As a team, North York has only lost once in regulation in the month of December and have taken nine out of a possible 12 points in that span.
Liam Kerins, Dana Tenenbaum and Michael Giacometti all picked up assists.
The Rangers will travel to Milton on Friday night in an effort to bounce back before returning home Sunday for another rendition of the Battle of Bathurst against the St. Michael’s Buzzers.
